Today's outfit
Grey peplum sweater - Macys
Belt - Torrid
Black Skirt - Macys
Ankle strap shoes - ??? (old old ooooooold faithfuls!)
I usually will change the bag around my birthday, which by the way is on Sunday (March 7). I dont really have any big plans this year except dinner ofcourse, and maybe a little shopping with my cousin (her birthday is today! .. gotta remember to call her .. and she wants to get some new makeup this weekend).
For the past few years (since I turned 30, I guess), I have purchased a new dress... and a new purse for my birthday. I did get the dress (although I am looking at another one), and I did get one purse (not sure that I want to make that my seasonal choice. Its the bag that I had on last friday.. but that bag is heavy as crap!!! and im not sure that I will enjoy wearing it, other than the fact that it looks nice, cuz it is really cute).
Dont mind that crazy pic above. I was trying to pull off one of those supermodel looks.. but it just came out pretty awkward... oh well.. ha haaaa
Here are the birthday dresses:
This little number is already purchased from LaneBryant. And its realy cute and even better, its comfortable too!
And this little number is from Talbots. This is the one that I am thinking of purchasing. I still cant decide on the color, but I am leaning toward the khaki.. although I luv luv loooove the green one!

Oh, I love the dress you bought. On the other dress, the green one is my favorite because you're able to add accessories and dress it up or down. The khaki is of course a more neutral option, but I think you'd really rock the green one.
I love that jacket/sweater. Fab outfit.
i may be biased since green is my favorite color, but i would urge you to go for it -- its SO easy to accessorize with green, and it would look amazing with your skin tone!
Great outfit!
I saw the Lane Bryant dress in the store and debated on picking it up, but I had impatient men with me and didn't get to try it on.
Can't wait to see what you pick.
Like you, I buy only leather purses because I use them for function and I want them to last. I have a couple of PVC purses that I had bought a while ago that I've kept because they are bright colors and such- but for the most part- I stick to leather purses that tend to cost more money! They rarely make it into my outfit posts. :)
And get the green dress. You could wear the green with SO MUCH more than the khaki. You could do the green with pink accessories, blue accessories, brown, yellow, etc. Much more "spring" and "summer" looking and fun!
Happy Birthday to a fellow March birthday girl!
oh, and I gave you an award at my regular blog! :)
I like this one.
Love the sweater and how a fantastic item like that can play different parts in different outfits.
Love the India Arie song your blog started playing ;) Cool app!
looking great in this outfit.
I agree with you, the khaki version looks the best. also, you look fierce in that second picture, not awkward. ;)

I am in love with the Lane Bryant dress. Just - love! As for the Talbot's dress - you're right that the khaki would provide the most options but the green shade is so fun!
love your blog! it is so pleasant to look at and that dress looks AWESOME on you! well chosen!

That sweater is so pretty! Love it. I like the model pose too. :)
I love the lace on the cardigan, it's so lovely!
LOVE that first dress! The pink trim is just fabulous.
Love how you remixed your outfit, looks great! Your birthday dresses are great the the hint of pink in the first one. The other one, i agree, you should get the green! You will look amazing in it!
Kameel, thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet comment! I've enjoyed browsing through your capsule challenge wardrobe so far. I LOVE the pretty lacy trim on your sweater, and it looks like we both share a love for classic, figure-hugging shapes and pretty green colors.
Speaking of green, that is by far my favorite for the Talbots dress - no question. Man, now *I* want that dress. If you've tried it on already, does it fit well if you have curvy proportions? The widely spaced buttons is the feature that would concern me...
I love the belted look on you! Great choice of dress from Lane Bryant, as well. The Talbots dress looks like it'd be versatile, but I know I wouldn't be able to resist the green one!
