I know, I know.. you are tired of seeing these boots. BUT, they have served me well this week. Actually they have served me well all winter. And Im grateful!!! They were a good buy.

This dress is almost 3 years old. I bought it to wear to my bridal shower in 2008. It was a great find then, and Im glad that it still fits. BFF Court said that I might not be able to wear to many of my regular clothes during my pregnancy cuz I might end up with "belly prints" when its all over. BUT, I think this dress will stretch the test of time, lol!
so I told you about the great weekend that I had... It was absolutely AWESOME!!!!
I spent the afternoon and evening with some of my closest family and friends. In celebration of my birthday and the 9th Anniversary of the Book club, we went to the Joseph Meyerhoff to see Sweet Honey in the Rock!
This internationally renowned a cappella ensemble creates music out of the rich textures of African American legacy and traditions. Blues, spirituals, gospel hymns, rap, reggae, African chants, hip hop, ancient lullabies, and jazz improvisation—Sweet Honey’s soulful harmonies and intricate rhythms inspire and entertain.
Oh how I wish I could add some youtubes of this awesome group. (I added, see below) They are such a soulful and awe-inspiring group that its amazing to watch .. and listen to. I had a blast.
Before the show, most of us gathered for dinner at The Owl Bar which is a resturaunt in the Belvedre Hotel.
I had a blast over the weekend and I cant wait to tell you all about it. But first up... We have produce .. Preggo Produce that is!!! This week little LeeLee is the length of a banana - ,Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now (actually the baby is 12 oz based on my sonogram on Monday). LeeLee's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (I guess this part is true, I pulled it directly from babycenter.com)
Now where-oh-where did I get this dress.. I cant even remember, but I have surely worn it before. You'll have to check back for that info... maybe it came from Macys. who knows??
The necklace, although slightly unseen in these pics, was a gift from one of my bookclub members.
And now (drumroll please) ... to announce the anatomy of LeeLee...
There are so many baby boys in my life right now.
LeeLee will have plenty of family and friends to grow up with and have fun!
... And so the journey begins with my bundle of baby boy.
By living a life that is spirit filled and loving.
I was listening to a great song this morning by Seon Thompson. And thats what the song was about. I'll add it this evening to this post. So check back tonight.
Not much to chat about today. The weather is really "yucky" I dont really like the rain, but I appreciate it. I know we need it. But when its raining out or wet - I just like to stay in and sleep.

As we all now, Im a sucker for a vacation.. and luckily, Hubby and I are getting to go on a "babymoon" before the baby comes. We leave for a cruise in 2 weeks.. Im soo excited about that. Almost as excited about learning the sex of the baby on Monday... good times ahead!!
Another week of progress for LeeLee's growth. This week LeeLee is the size of an heirloom tomato weighing in at 8.5 oz and measures 6 inches from head to rump. Im sure this is not an heirloom tomato, but it was the largest one I could find in the market. Next week we will find out what the sex of LeeLee really is. Anyone wanna take guesses??? Leave a comment below.
dress-DressBarn; tights-WeLoveColor
I added a pop of color to this outfit by adding tights and I think it was a perfect addition. Plus the color matches exactly!
Just a normal day at work. Nothing fancy. But I was so ready for the weekend. The weather was awesome, but I didnt even get a chance to go out there. I knew that if I went out there, I wasnt coming back in cuz the weather was so nice. I did run out for lunch. And had some good laughs with my coworkers.
shirt adn skirt - Avenue; necklace - Burlington
Saturday:
I had a blast celebrating my sorority sister, Christina's Birthday.
dress - NY&Co; leggins and jean jacket - Lane Bryant; clogs - Florida; necklace - Burlington
We had lunch at a local Mediterranean Resturaunt in a quant neighborhood. It was a really nice treat.
We posed out in front of the resturaunt. Me, Chrissy (The Birthday Girl) and Trina.
Trina and I posed for a pic in the resturaunt.
After lunch, the owner explained to Chrissy that when she finished her coffee, you could have an elderly woman read your fortune from the designs in the cup. Basically there was this sludge that coated the bottom of the cup. Chrissy had to empty the sludge and when it dried inside the cup, there were different characters - fish, bears, etc. Each meaning something different. Interesting. We didtn have an elderly woman to tell her fortune, but I could see a few images in the cup, lol.
Good times!!!
Monday:
Nothing exciting. I had to go to work for a training.. on my day off. But thats cool. And then I had lunch with Hubby. I was so tired, I went home and took a 3 hour nap. I didnt get a thing done in the house like I wanted to. Oh well, maybe next week.
tshirt-OldNavy; jeans-from a coworker; grey cardi - Ashley Stewart
I cant really say that im Irish. But I love a good reason to dress in a theme. And I wanted to avoid getting pinched, lol. Enjoy your st Paddy's Day.. and drink some green beer for me!
dress-from coworker (Old Navy Maternity); shoes-Macys
And here are a few pics of my little Ladybug - Cousin Taylor (she is Cousin Nikki's daighter). Taylor called me on Tuesday and reminded me to wear my green so I dont get pinched, lol! I thought that was hilariuos!
Yesterday:
jacket and tshirt-OldNavy; sweater - LaneBryant; pants-Motherhood maternity
I liked this look much better with the jacket. Im sure when the weather breaks, I will be wearing these pants as rolled or cuffed capris, especially because they are waaaay to long.
Monday made 18 weeks, in the growth of our little LeeLee. The baby should be measuring about 5.5 inches and weigh in at 7 ounces. Im still not sure that I am getting the right size fruit, cuz the ones that I have carefully selected with care for my preggo produce pics (lol), look a little large to me.. But if they say so.. Im going with it.

Tuesday - work day.
I dont really have a busy week this week at work. I have a few presentations to work on and I have one or two meetings. But other than that, Im just waiting for the weather to break by the end of the week... here come the 70's!!! wooo-hooo!!!
dress-from my coworker (Motherhood); cardi and tights-Avenue
You are finally able to see my "baby bump" a little. But its there and growing nice and strong. I feel like my bump shows more when I wear certain outfits. But everyone at work swears they can see it every day. I also, think that my bump is camoflauged in my daily pics, but thats because I have gotten good at hiding my regular belly. (lol)
Nothing fancy about this casual friday outfit. I love this shirt. I bought it just at the end of summer, so this is my first chance to wear it. It has all my favorite details.. ruffle front, stripes, and rouching at the cap sleeves. Adorable!
top-Avenue; jeans-maternity hand-me-down; cardi-Ashley Stewart
And then I added a grey cardi ... to keep me warm in the office. Although, Im sure I will be hot.
I feel like I am starting to "pop" out there in this dress. My coworker offered to bring me in some of her maternity cothes and this is one of the items that I snagged from the bag (still had tags). She is a little smaller than I am, so I had to wear this one before it was to small. Plus, I didnt want the temps to get warmer and I never get a chance to wear this little cute number. I really wanted to wear colored tights with this dress, but all I have is royal blue, hot pink and cranberry .. so I just went with black.
I feel like my smile is a little strange in this pic, but you get the idea.
dress-Motherhood; riding boots-Avenue
I have found that plus-size maternity clothes are definitely not as cute as straight-size maternity. I have only bought a few pieces so far (a pair of jeans, a pair of khakis, maybe a dress and a few tshirts and tanks) but the selection is "interesting." I guess I shouldnt be surprised. So far, I have shopped at OldNavy and Motherhood but if you have other ideas, feel free to leave me a few comments.
I dont want to break the bank on buying maternity clothes, but I would like to have a few pieces here and there. Im just glad that I will be pregnant during the summer (not happy about the potential sweltering weather) which means I can wear plenty of dresses.
I celebrated my 34th birthday yesterday.. well actually I was blessed enough to be able to celebrate all weekend, doing one thing or another: Friday-Surprise cake with coworkers, Saturday- Lunch with Hubby, Sunday- BFF Court stopped by with a gift (a new blender), Monday- brunch with Mom and Cousin Nikki at Miss Shirley's then dinner with Hubby at Nacho Mommas. The grand birthday finale happens at the end of the month with a show at the Meyerhoff.
And what's with the turnip you ask.. well, I am 17 weeks pregnant! Yup, go ahead and look back at all those previous posts and see if you can tell. I guess I have been "carrying small" as they say because I cant seem to see preggo in my pics. BUT, I can surely tell in my clothes. No more regular jeans for me. And the turnip - well, after some coaxing, I decided to take Preggo Produce Pics. I was looking at Andie's pics in What Andie Wears and she was telling about Carolee Beckham's blog (they take awesome pics by the way) so I decided to have fun with the produce pics too. Each week (for me that happens on Mondays), if you have a BabyCenter account (or other similar account) they will tell you the size and weight of your baby and compare it to a produce. At 17 weeks, the baby is 5 ounces big and measures 5 inches from head to rump.

Hubby and I have lovingly decided to call the baby LeeLee. I figured that worked well for a boy or a girl. Lee was the middle name of my Grandfather and is the middle name of my Mother.
I think that name fits well!
I did not get a chance to buy a new dress for my birthday this year, so I just pulled out one I could find. This is what I wore to dinner on my birthday night. It wasnt a fancy locale, so I didnt want to be to dressy.
I like what I came up with.

I was grateful for all the wonderful expressions of love that I got over the weekend. I was given some awesome cards.. I wish I could read or post them all here. And I was showered with all kinds of birthday wishes on Facebook. I really had a nice day/weekend!
