Sorry for all this mess in my pics. I am preparing for my Aunt's 50th Birthday party.. and I did some thank you bags for another birthday party.. so my living room floor is a mess (and Hubby doesnt like it one bit)

Today I had to get go to work (monday's are usually my day off) for a meeting. But I am outta there at noon!

I met Cousin Nikki to do some shopping for our aunt's 50th bday party. Cousin Nikki was looking like a "fox" so I had to take her pic.

Hubby and I had dinner at this little resturaunt in Mount Washington. Cute.. this is a pic of the funky little block that it was on.

After shopping.. I went with the other bestie to see her son play his first football game of the season. Im not really a fan of football, but I am surely a fan of all her children - so I was there in total support.. yelling and everything. Rashaad Ross #31 for the Overlea Orangemen!!!!

Back to the mall to get some school shirts for my little cousin. That was a short erand, cuz I was in and out of there.

The place was packed at the Merriweather Post Pavillion. we saw KRS One, Tribe Called Quest .. and then ...

After hours of waiting, Ms Lauryn finally came out.

Her style was a little - homeless, urban, hobo chic! Not my style, but I could see adding a few of her pieces into my rotation. And she always rocks the NY fitted hat.

and for her finale - She brought out NAS.. I was defintely a little hype about that!

Cancun - Mini-Vacay (pics heavy)

SUNDAY - before the butt-crack of dawn!
We got on the road at 2:30am.. to get to the airport. Our flight left from Washington, DC at 6am, so we had to get an early start for an international flight.. we were sooo tired, but excited for the vacation.

The flight was ok.. but I was ready to get off that plane.

First stop.. Miami.. but not for long!

Next stop... CANCUN, MEXICO..paradise

When we arrived at the hotel it was breathtaking. The whole experience was soo awesome! And the staff was so welcoming. We grabbed some lunch then checked into our room. We tore our traveling clothes off and jumped into our bathing suits and went straight to the ocean!

We were up bright and early to get to shopping. I really tried not to over do it.. but its just soo hard, lol!

we left the mall and headed straight back to the water.. this time - the pool!

and we stayed until it was dark.. and the pool lights came on, lol.

TUESDAY - Flea Market finds
Yup.. more shopping. I haggled real good with the vendors at the flea market and I scored some serious silver and gold items. For this trip, jewelry was my weakness.. next trip I'll focus on leather goods.

look what I scored - YUP.. a gold pair of hoops. Exact same ones as the BFFs!! I was sooo excited to find these.

Aaahhh, dinner. We had an awesome dinner at the Argentine Steakhouse. Can you say deeelliiissshhh!! mm mm mmmmm.

WEDNESDAY - Traveling home
Sad to leave but we had to. Next time, we are definitely adding an extra day.

I bought this shirt almost 2 years ago to wear on my honeymoon. Can you believe that this was the first time that I wore it, and I had to pop off the tag... I really liked it and I should have been wearing it more often.
