Valentine's Day Red Challenge-Day #1

Well I was off from work today, so I spent most of the day lounging around the house.. BUT.. in honor of the red challange.. here is my "ode to red". I have on lounge pants that my mother in law gave me for Christmas. They have mittens and gloves all over them. Cute!

So I didnt actually go to work today, I was a "Snow Chicken" scared of the pending 20 inches of snow. so I stayed home. But I still had a few errands to prepare for the pending blizzard. I had to run past the market to get some junk food for my pseudo super bowl party (which only includes me, mom and hubby .. we watch the commercials and eat fun food). Then I had to go pick up mom, she wanted to hang with us for the pending blizzard. So now I have her reading all my past blogs and she is totally wrapped up in it now. She wants me to sell stuff.. and do a video introduction (great idea that I showed her from Gilding the Frilly and Bright Side Dweller.. thanks ladies for a great idea)

I was going to make a full fashion show of all my red items.. but instead, I will use them next week and join BBM in her theme of wearing red all week!! Im wit ya babes! Lets go!!!!

Pink and Orange Flower Booties

Eventhough it was cold as "Dick's hatband" (something my mom says when its reaaaaaaly cold) outside this morning, i still decided to wear a skirt.. I dont knwo what I was thinking, but I liked the outfit, so I said to myself, go ahead and wear it anyway. I was running late this morning, so hubby had to be my stand in tripod and take the photo.

You all may be in for a treat tonight. I might have a guest blogger again. we'll see, it depends if the person is comfortable with their outfit....

These are a pair of my favorite boots. I luv the flower detail on them, and they are super comfortable.. the heel is really short, but they still have a sexy look to them. I get so many compliments when I wear these boots. They are like 4 years old and when I saw them, I had to have them.

New Location

Today I had to change up my picture location a little. My usual location is in front of my green curtains in the living room.. but with this outfit, i didnt think a green background would be to good. Do I went to the front door...nice and bright. (but not as bright as outside).. i think I like this location, what do you think. I may need to work on the settings on the camera to get a more crisp picture (I know one of these gadgets is capable of takign a clear pic)

Speaking of gadgets .. i got a new one.. and ipod touch.. i had been harrassing hubby to use his iphone almost every night to play this one game, so i guess he got tired of me asking for his phone.. so he got me the ipod touch. I asked him, "Is this an early Valentin's Day gift"? He said, "No, we have something else planned for Valentine's Day." He is such a sweet sweet hubby (and i want my red strawberry jelly beans for Valentine's Day too, lol)

I wish I had taken a close up of this shirt. it is so cute. its is filled with historic buildings from europe. the colors are black, turquoise, royal blue, and ofcourse green.

And ofcourse I had on more fun socks!!! There was more snow on the ground again today here in Bmore, so you know I had on my yucky work boots/snow boots. I realized today, that they may be the oldest thing I have in my closet.. maybe.. but either way, they are the most reliable shoe I have in my closet. I need to do a tribute to the yucky shoes.... maybe soon, we'll see!

So, for Valentine's Day, hubby and I are going to Pennsylvania for a ski weekend. Now I have never been skiing, so I might not actually make it to the slopes, but we will definitely go snow tubing.. that sounds fun to me.

Do any of you ladies have any fashion ideas for me to pack on a ski weekend? I want to be warm, cute and ofcourse fashionable... even in the snow.

More fun socks

Todays outfit has a really cute detail on the shirt. Its full of ruffles on the front, but its hard to see in the pic.. Oh well. i am back to taking pics in the living room since its pitch black outside when i leave for work at 6:40am... I think I will be working on adding more light to the living room so these pics will come out better... But until then... tadaaaaah!!!

And ofcourse I had on a fun pair of socks. Baltimore is bracing for another snow storm today, so I wore my snow boots, which are not cute at all.. they are total functionality. So i just took the pics with my shoes off.. that was way more fun!

Save for later

So after I put this outfit on today, i realized that I should have saved it for later. Its actually a cute little number.. way to cute to waist on running errands and going to the mall for lunch with my cousin. She needed to find an outfit to wear during AllStar Weekend coming up. So she asked me to accompany her to look for something. I didnt mind. I love putting outfits together (and spending other people's money too). We found a cute outfit for her (I should have taken a pic, oh well.. next time).

As I was taking my first pic below, i realized that it was pretty nice outside ... and i could take an outside pic,, yipeeeee!!! And this was the outside pic. I guess I need to figure out the angle of the sun so I dont have a huge shadow lurking behind me.. but i think the pic did come out brighter. And I like it..
