Its starting again ...

... but this time its for the summer. The Small Fabric of My Life is hosting another Wardrobe Challange. Some of my readers may recall that I did this challenge for the spring 2010. It was pretty fun. You can read a recap of my experience with this post.

For the Summer Wardrobe Challege, here are the details:
"This time I challenge style bloggers to create a five day Monday to Friday wardrobe from:5 items of clothing but unlimited shoes and accessories.The challenge will take place between June 7th and June 11th." ... I think I can handle that!

Last night was pretty uneventful. I did make it to the hair dresser after work (that was pretty awesome! So I can finally stop wearing this boring ponytail - but ofcourse I didnt comb my hair down today before I took the pic. Maybe tomorrow, lol) So, I got home, I ate dinner and watched a movie - Georgia O'keefe. The movie was pretty good (in a sappy, artsy, sad love story kind of way). One thing I can say is that the chick was strong - strong willed and strong of mind especially for a woman of that time. She died in 1986 at the age of 98 (wow! thats a pretty good life, seeing alot of changes). Check it out, with your girls, cuz I dont know many guys that could hold on through this movie. Tonight, I will be watching Up in the Air with George Clooney - reviews tomorrow, lol~

I wrote this long post about my evening with my mother-inlaw and brother-inlaw.. and then i wrote about my hubby finding his younger brother (Dad's son) on FB.. and then i wrote about me finding my oldest sister (Dad's daughter) on FB too. But all of it got erased.. and I aint writing it again.. so OH WELL!. that was the cliff notes!

I was on the phone EARLY!

I was up early today, and on my way to work when I got a great telephone call from my sorority sister. I had called her yesterday because after almost a year and a half of being laid off and out of work - she has started a new job! When I called I wasnt sure when the job started but we are so in tune, that she called me this morning to tell me that she actually started yesterday! So we chatted for a little while as she drove into work, and I was getting prepared for the day. I am really excited for her (as you can see in the pic, I am all smiles).

Another of my sorority sisters has started her own accessory line called SugarLand. Check out her site and see if there are accessories that you like. I am sure you will find some nice stuff at reasonable prices. On Friday, she had an awesome happy hour and Launch Party! It was a great turnout and wonderful items to choose from.

Do I really like this shirt?

I was running late this morning, but not to much. And I still managed to take a billion pics before I settled on this one. This new shirt is really a size to big, maybe I will grow into it, lol. I wasnt even sure that I liked it when I bought it, but it works. I guess I can keep it.

Im going to a Happy Hour afterwork, so I wanted to be cute but still comfortable. I even took the ponytail out of my hair. I really wanted to blow dry and curl my hair last night but I ran out of time [wathching Flashforward and then The Mentalist.. do u watch those shows? I love them .. i am so addicted], so I settled for my "other hair style" lol. I'll add a dash of makeup before I leave work..if they let me, I'll post pics of some of my friends tomorrow.

I been gone for a minute but Im back again ...

HEY YAAAALLLLL!!! I know, I've been gone for a minute, hopefully not forgotten. I know how quickly new fashion bloggers come on the scene, hopefully I am still in your blog rolls.

Today was my first day back to work. And back to my regular routine.

Where have I been, you ask??? Well I was off again on another mini-vacation. And if you havent noticed, thats what I love to do.. vacation! I like to go someplace every few months, even if for a small weekend vacation/getaway. April just so happened to be a month when I vacationed twice in one month, first to Memphis.. and then this trip...

Where did I go, you ask?? I went on a bus trip to Connecticutt (dreaded the drive back home,aaaauugh!). We spent 4 days and 3 nights at Foxwoods Resort and Casino. One of the evenings out, we went to the Mohegun Sun Casino. I didnt win alot of money but I did win a few pennies. I was happy. I wasnt to pleased with the food choices at Foxwoods, but we dined like Queens at the Mohegan where the selections were much better. Another drawback was the smoking. There was still plenty of smoking at the casino so I didnt spend much time there.

My outfits were pretty laid back and chill.
