Andie's Accessories - Day 2 (Two for One)

Today I am offering a "two for one." The outfit that I selected to wear today could be accessorized with two of the items that I won in Andie's Accessory giveaway.

Here is a close up of the bow that I made from a neck scarf that was in the giveaway items.

And then I remixed the scarf as a bracelet. I had seen a few other bloggers pull this look off, but I dont think that it worked out to well for me. I just felt silly wearing it. And one of the other items included in the giveaway was a beaded necklace with a seashell at the end. The seashell is a gorgeous grey color, which went well with my slacks. Below you can see how I put them on together to get a "two for one" combo.

I decided to go with the bow look above for work today. I want to save the seashell necklace to wear with a really nice sundress with the summer gets here!

Andie's Accessories - Day 1

Oh Saturday

Well Saturday was spent running errands. I have been helping my cousin with her spring wardrobe so I spent the day putting looks together for her. And my BFF is redecorating her living room so she and I were out for the day doing some furniture shopping too. We had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, and then I went to help my cousin. All in all it was a nice and busy day. But the weather was awesome, so who cares.

On Sunday I didnt wear a thing cuz I was waaaay to tired from all the ripping and runing on saturday.

New Shoes, Cure the Blues

These are the first time that I am getting to wear my new sandals. Are these considered gladiators? I guess not cuz they arent flats. Well, either way, I love the style. I was a little apprehensive at first because they are a little high (I am such a punk these days when it comes to wearing high heels. I am so not into it any more. When I was younger, and by younger I mean high school and college, I wore heels daily. Now with a few extra pounds and age, I think I will pass on those really high heels.). I like a heel, but not to high, please.

In today's look I was trying really hard to wear one of my birthday presents. My sorority sister gave me a necklace and earrings for my birthday (which are hard to see in this pic). We are hanging out for her birthday tonight, just a little bowling, so I wanted to wear the gift that she gave me. She really appreciates when people wear or use her gifts, so I thought I would indulge her. Me personally, I want the person to be happy, so I am not at all attached to the gift that I give you. If you wear it, great! But if you hate it and want to return it, thats fine too! I just want the person to be happy.

In other birthday news, the skirt that my BFF ordered me from eShakit came.. check back for a review soon. Lets just say that I will be ordering from them again soon.

This weather is so deceiving to me. Before I leave the house I always listen to the weather report. Ofcourse the report is always talking about how beautiful its going to be today with a high in the upper 60s. They always seem to gloss over the fact that at 6:40a the temp is like 40s. So, again, my legs were freezing when I went to the car and then had to walk into the office.

So for now, the belt is in my purse. It may make an appearance later today, who knows. I also found some shoes last night at Macys. They are very similar to these below, but it black. I actually have them on above, but I thought they were a little to flat for this outfit. So I changed to a dressier flat pair (lol). They will be making their debut really soon, maybe tomorrow. These are suuuuper comfortable. And they came in some really fun colors like pink and turquoise. I may have to go back and get another pair.

How do I follow... and a little bit of Green

Today is only a peek-a-boo amount of green in honor of St Patrick's Day. Sure, I have alot of green I could wear, but I wasnt really in the mood. I guess I just wasnt feeling the "collective thought" movement today (thats a whole other ramble I can save for another day). Either way, this is my little bit of green that I have to offer.

I realized a few years ago, that my body does not feel fit well with Target clothes. But they have such cute things to offer, I often find myself still trying to buy and wear their stuff. This jacket has a pair of pants (that I am sure I can no longer fit) and when I got it a few years ago, I was so surprised and overjoyed that I could actually fit a cute seersucker. But alas, I think I may have to retire this blazer. Its a little snug, and the only reason that I could still wear it today was because it has such great stretch.

Whats that little pin on your lapel? Well thats the "Outstanding Member" pin from my Toastmasters Club at work. We have a meeting today and I finally found the pin, so I figured I would throw it on. But I really wanted to wear some other type of pin. I just think that this jacket calls for a broche of some sort.

I have noticed that my face does not appear on any of your blogs. Can you see me over in your followers section? Cuz when I log in, I dont see me. Whats up with that? Am I doing something wrong? When I want to follow a blogger, I hit the follow tab at the left most top of each blog. But then there is the google connect tab to follow as well. Are these different? do I need to click both? I want to follow, but Im not sure if I am doing something wrong.

Calling all Spring Fairies

Today's look is calling on the spring fairies. I have been holding on to this skirt for a few weeks just waiting for the perfect day to wear it.. And so today was it! But since the weather is not fully warm just yet, I was able to throw on my purple cardi and purple tights.. But i did wear my peep toe shoes.
